My Love for Lemons!

Image

I have this love for lemons since I was a child. My best friend who lived across from me had a lemon tree and we would pick lemons all the time. We would also make lemonade like all kids do and sell it! I still make lemonade but have a healthy spin on it. And I also start my day off with fresh water with a squeeze of a lemon. This helps with your digestive system and also kick starts your metabolism.

Williams- Sonoma $24.95

This is the ultimate tool for anyone that loves lemons! It juices the lemon and with holds the seeds.

Now I absolutely hate wasting food, so today since my lemons were about to go bad I squeezed all of them into a ice tray and freeze them for use this week. You can also do this with limes and oranges. It adds great flavor to water or any iced teas!

Here is my simple lemonade:

Makes 1 Serving

2 Cups Purified water

2 Lemons juiced

Dash of stevia (now this is your own required taste for how much you want)

Garnish with Mint Leaves and Lemon wheel

Health Update

I am sorry I have not posted anything in a while. I just recently found out that I have Candida overgrowth to the max, which is causing multiple health problems. Candida is a yeast/ fungal infection found inside the body. My overgrowth is pretty extreme and could have started as a child or when I was born. So now after seeing a holistic doctor and getting back on track I am ready to blog my love for food once again! PS I am now eating meat since I am on a restricted diet plan, you could say I am more on the Paleo lifestyle now. This new way of eating has been a challenge this past two months, but I am finding new and exciting recipes that i cannot wait to share with you all!!!

Easy as 1,2,3 Spaghetti Squash

Step 1. Preheat your oven to 375. Then cut your spaghetti squash in half lengthwise and then rub olive oil, salt and pepper on the rim.

Step 2. Then flip both sides upside down on the baking sheet and bake for 40 min. After the 40 min then flip them upside-down again so the inside is facing up and bake for another 10-15 min.

Step 3. Take it out of the oven and let it cool for 10 min. Then take a fork and scrap the insides so that it becomes stringy and then place in your bowl!

There is many different ways to serve your spaghetti squash, my favorite is just treating it like pasta and pouring tomato sauce on top.

Here is two other ways that I found to be really tasty:
